GOHS Band All Parent Meeting

Financials: Jeanne Davis
Income: $97,821.26, Expenses: $37,968.87, Current Balance: $59,852.39 (which includes $12,800 DC fees that will be paid out this coming week). Statements are available for following All Parent Meeting.
Marching Band/Guard Fees: Payments 1 & 2 should already be made ($250/ea), last payment due Oct. 15 ($250)
Washington DC Trip: Payment 1 & 2 ($100 & $250) should already be paid, next payment due October 6 ($250).
Fundraisers – Shereen Dombkowski
Passed out Fundraising spreadsheet detailing all fundraisers, start/end dates and student account impact. Spirit Wrap Blanket orders due NLT Oct. 1, arrive mid November.
Uniforms: Lucy Thudium
Will be placing one more order for tour apparel. If anyone still wants to order additional tour shirts or sweatshirts, Marsi will email everyone an order form that they can print out and send in a check made out to GOALS NLT Oct. 3rd.
Volunteers/Chaperones: Tammi Martin/Sharon Matus
Need 10 more volunteers for Middle School Band Night October 3rd . We will be feeding kids Pizza. Attire is Jeans/Red Shirt
Need volunteers for Football game on Halloween, kids will be in costume October 31st
Need volunteers for 3rd Competition at Riverside King November 8th
Preview of Champions on November 20th
Need as many as we can get to help with coordination of parking, bands, etc. Asking community to bring canned goods or cash to donate to local food bank for entrance.
Requested we purchase 4 sets of walkie talkies to assist in our campus wide events. Mimi Beter volunteered to purchase the phones – rechargeable was requested.
Golf Fundraiser: Joann Larsen
The tournament netted @$8,500 after expenses. Thanked everyone who offered help and contributed time and items to help make it a success in these difficult times.
Washington DC Trip: Nancy Marshall
Next meeting is October 6th at 7pm in the Band Room.
Next payment due of $250
Joann motioned that all DC attendees need to be current w/payments by Oct 21st or make arrangements to be so to stay on DC Roster. Motion Carried.
Band News:
Reminder to check the website (Director’s notes accessed via blue scrolling message) to see upcoming schedules. Will try to keep at least 2 weeks info there, but can change so check often.
Band member, Brittney Freeman announced a team being put together to participate in Race for the Cure at the Promenade Mall on Oct. 19th. Join the team or donate to the cause. Cost is $27 to register to walk.
Homecoming Dinner provided (El Pollo Loco) to band members & alumni band members prior to marching to stadium together. Call time is 5pm, march to stadium 6:30pm. Band staying through half time. MB released after half time, Jazz Band staying.
