Minutes For:  General Parent Booster Meeting

June 5, 2007

 The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Board President, John Rossi.  A brief overview of the Booster Board’s functions was discussed.

Budget Approval

The Budget for the 2007-08 year was presented.  Various questions were asked relative to transportation, coaching, instrument repair, meals during travel events, etc. and the potential trips for the various units within the band for 2007-2008. After a careful review, a motion was made, seconded are carried unanimously to approve the budget.

2007-2008 Fees Approved

Further discussion ensued relative to the fees for the five units within the program. Separate motions were made, seconded and carried unanimously to approve fees for each unit.  Fee payment dates were approved as well as follows: 

Fall Marching Band and Color Guard Fees: = $675

(Does not include overnight trip)

$225 due 8/13/07, $225 due 9/13/07, & $225 due 10/15/07

Winter Guard Fees: = $500

(Does not include overnight trip)

$250 due 1/15/08 & $250 due 2/15/08

Winter Drum Line: = $525

(Does not include overnight trip)

$275 due 1/15/08 & $250 due 2/15/08

 Concert Band Fees:

$150.00 due 1/15/08

Jazz Band Fees:

$75.00 due 1/15/08

In September 2007, the concert band budget and fees will be revisited.

Expenditure Approvals – June 07 to September 07

A motion was made, seconded and carried to approve the following amounts for spending.

The following amounts are not to exceed:

Insurance $ 150

Bank Charges $25

Coaching:

Percussion $12,800

Color Guard $5,800

Visual Tech & Winds $1,800

Writing Fees $3,250

Competition Fees $2,500

Instrument Supplies & Repair $600

Hospitality-Meals and Supplies $2,600

Sheet Music $600.00

Transportation:

Marching $16,500

Uniforms $4,500

Tote Bags $6,500

Color Guard Flags & Weapons $5,750

Fundraising Expense $20,000

Tour Shirts $4,500

Equipment Repair (trailer) $300
