(Red & Blue Group List distributed at the last two parent meetings.)
Participants and chaperones will remain in their respective Red and Blue Groups while traveling to and from GOHS and LAX (via TVUSD Bussing) and while flying to and from LAX to Washington D.C. Jerry Burdick is the Red Group Leader and John Rossi is the Blue Group Leader, with Gaylon Holland as the District Representative. Students will be briefed on all rules prior to departure from GOHS and again upon arrival at LAX.
______________________ will be accompanying the travel groups to LAX on Friday, May 29th to ensure that everyone has made it on their designated flights. In the case where a student does not report to their group leader in time to make the departing flight, ______________________ will accompany the student back to GOHS. The student’s family will be notified via a phone call to pick up the student at GOHS upon return to school. There will be no refunds for students who separate themselves from the group and are not able to travel as a result. It is the student’s responsibility to check in at designated times ON TIME. Students are not permitted to leave the gate area while at any airport.
WASHINGTON DC TOUR GROUPS
(Bus and room assignment lists distributed at the last parent meeting)
Student participants are assigned to specific chaperones for the entire time while in Washington DC. Chaperones are assigned to the students by room such that all students in a given room will have the same chaperone. 85% of the students will also be on the same tour bus as their assigned chaperone. Tour busses will always travel together so chaperones and their students will be together while at the tour stop (site).
Students are assigned specific seats on each tour bus. Each student MUST be in their assigned seat for all pre-departure roll calls (every tour stop). Students may switch seats after the successful completion of the roll call. Students are not permitted to separate themselves from the tour group without the Director’s and their chaperone’s permission.
For each tour site there will be a group meeting to include the following:
1 Definition of site specific rules
2 Designation of timeline for stop
3 Designation of emergency and backup meeting places
4 Student question and answer
5 Roll call by assigned bus seat (before departure)
****Students must keep their travel group ID (distributed on the busses prior to departure from GOHS) on their person AT ALL TIMES. Students must also keep their primary form of ID in the zipper pouch on the back of their travel ID or on their person AT ALL TIMES.****
